About Rooted Home Collective

Experience in building.

A passion for better homes.

Rooted Home Collective was founded from a simple belief…

The way we build our homes matters.

With experience in project management across high-end residential construction and commercial building, Rooted Home Collective is grounded in the realities of construction—budgets, schedules, coordination, materials, subcontractors, and the details that bring a project together.

That experience is also grounded in five years of supply chain and operations work, shaping an approach centered on planning, coordination, resourcefulness, communication, and understanding how individual decisions affect the larger system.

Over time, that experience led to a deeper question:

What if we thought about a home as more than just a structure? What if the way we build could support the health of the people who live there while also considering the ecosystem and community around it?

Rooted Home Collective brings together practical construction experience with continued study and exploration in natural building, healthy materials, building science, and sustainable design.

We believe better building doesn't have to be complicated. By making thoughtful choices about how and what we build, we can create homes that are healthier, more durable, and more connected to the places they inhabit.

Building for this Place

We believe good building begins with paying attention to place.

Every home exists within a particular climate, landscape, community, and resource system.

Our work is rooted in the Inland Northwest and informed by the realities of building here—from cold winters and moisture management to material sourcing, wildfire resilience, energy performance, and the unique character of the region.

Informed by Leading Building Frameworks

Our work is informed by established frameworks and organizations working across healthy materials, high-performance building, natural construction, regenerative design, and sustainable architecture.

We use these resources to ask better questions, guide project decisions, and continually improve our work—not as formal certification requirements for every project.
